They offer children of our community a variety of simple and fun ways to get involved and stay involved from Design Day thru construction of the project. These committees generate interest, enthusiasm, and support among parents and other adults throughout the community. There are 3 children's committees for Project Idlewild. They represent Easton Elementary, The country School and St. Peter and Paul. The children on these committees well meet a couple of times a month after school. They will work on invitations for design day, thank you notes, fund raisers, posters etc. Depending on which school the volunteer would like to help with contact:

Public Relations Committee

Public relations stir enthusiasm and create community pride. This committee will hold the key to future contributions of money, materials, tools, and volunteer help.

Volunteer Committee

Committee Volunteer Form
The volunteer committee's main goal is to enlist as many workers as possible for construction. The volunteer committee starts from the very beginning of the project collecting and organizing the names and phone numbers of potential volunteers. This committee will work closely with other committees to line up sources of tools, food, and childcare. This committee will recruit for all other committees, only to pass on that recruit to the appropriate committee. Keep in mind that this committee is responsible for scheduling construction volunteers only.
Mary Ellen Carter - mecarter@goeaston.net

Food Committee

Committee Volunteer Form
The goal of the food committee is to provide two meals a day for 5 days of the build. The amount of people you can count on serving at one meal could be 120-500. Depending on whether it is lunch, dinner, weekday or weekend. Think big, and make it festive, not routine. Pamper people when they break for meals, and they will return. We need good-tasting, wholesome, exciting food. (with short waiting times).
